Map
  1. From the entrance of the National Trust carpark or Plas Glyn y Weddw, head up the hill passing St Pedrog’s Church on your left.
  2. Turn left at the junction and then left again at Pedroc’s Church Hall.
  3. After a short climb, where the road bends right, take the footpath on on the left to Mynydd Tir-Y-Cwmwd.
  4. Pass through the wooden gate and climb, keeping to the right side of field. Pause to look back and enjoy view to Pwllheli, Snowdonia and across the Bay of Ceredigion to Harlech.
  5. At the end of field go right through a kissing gate.
  6. After the next gate head left along the track, through another gate and into farmyard.
  7. Continue ahead through a wooden gate.
  8. Shortly after this the route divides into 3 paths. Take the one to the right.
  9. Pass a bungalow and continue along a drive until reaching a road where you head left uphill.
  10. Where road bends left go straight on. Ignore paths off to the left and right.
  11. The path eventually levels and narrows and starts to reveal spectacular views across to Abersoch and St Tudwalls islands. Pause to take in one of the best panoramas on the Llyn.
  12. Continue following the path that skirts the headland ignoring paths on the right that lead down to The Warren. As the path turns eastwards  views across the Bay of Ceredigion will be revealed.
  13. The path becomes more rocky as it bends to the north but reveals views of Pwllheli and, eventually, Llanbedrog beach. Pause when you reach the Tin Man for a photo, although this third incarnation would be better named the Iron Man!
  14. Descend part way down the steps but take the path off to the left that ascends for a short while. There is an option here to continue down the steps to the beach and then up the access road to return to the carpark.
  15. Follow the path until reaching an information board, ignoring paths off to the left.
  16. Continue to descend the steps until reaching a track that leads to Plas Glyn Y Weddw. Stop to admire the art and enjoy lunch or a coffee before continuing along the drive and to the road and start of the walk.
